PEANUT BUTTER DEER TRICK (PBDT)

The 'Peanut Butter Deer Trick' or PBDT involves attaching a jar of peanut butter to a tree by screwing the lid into the tree, screwing the jar back on, and cutting off the bottom to allow deer to lick the contents. This method is popular for attracting deer to a specific location for observation, photography, or hunting (where legal).

“Kit” comes with jar of PBDT, Wood Screw, twine and spreader spoon. All extra items are included on top of seal and under cap of PBDT. Instructions to be included on label.

  • H&H Already has a supplier of peanut butter and will need to generate a co packer for our finished goods.

  • Units can provide a 400% margin for H&H while providing a 75% margin for retailer.

CALL OUT POINTS

  • Peanut butter is highly attractive to deer, especially in late fall and winter when high-calorie food sources are limited. The scent can carry over long distances, bringing deer into camera range or hunting zones. However, effectiveness depends on food availability, competing wildlife (such as bears, raccoons, and squirrels), and weather conditions.

    1. Choose the right location: deer trails, wind advantage, nearby cover.

    2. Use cheap, full-fat peanut butter for strong scent.

    3. Mount with a wood screw or lag bolt through the lid, cut the bottom at an angle to shed rain.

    4. Height: 36–40 inches off the ground.

    5. Deter thieves: swinging mounts for bears, cayenne on outside for squirrels.

    6. Rain protection: small plastic bottle over the top.

    7. Make it last: freeze before use, mix with oats or corn, cut smaller openings.

BRINGING TO MARKET

  • Have a supplier of peanut butter that will work with us to produce. Jared building website for him in order to garner perks / barter.

  • Will need to establish relationship with Co-Packer to package our PBDT.

  • Smaller size and uniqueness of product, can garner distribution to more outlet opportunities. Amazon becomes a viable opportunity.

  • The size allows us to populate shelves in standard Feed & Seeds, Hardware Stores, Grocery Stores and possibly C-Stores. Also size allows us to be showcased in alternative locations at all locations.
